Paris A-Z: B is for Boulangerie

Paris A to Z: B is for Boulangerie

The Sassy Guide to the City of Light

As an American living in Paris for nearly 9 years, I have plenty of words of wisdom to share about this glorious, yet sometimes frustrating, city. Each weekday this month I will share my thoughts on some of the best stuff to do in Paris. Today's letter, B, is for Boulangerie.

I could have chosen many B words for this one - bakeries, baguettes, buttery goodness, best-get-in-my-mouth-right-now - but I'd be talking about the same thing. French boulangeries are world famous for a reason. Nowhere else on the planet can you enjoy such wonderful treats for such a reasonable price. When you return home, bread won't taste as good.

The only solution is to move here and stuff your face with croissants, baguettes, quiche, and pastries every day. I did. My hips are proof.
